Obligation or joy?

As people, we have many obligations: family, work, society... We often say "I have to", " I need to", "I must"... We feel obligated. How much of what we do is in harmony with us?

Take breathing for example. Breathing is vital part of our lives. Without breathing, there is no oxygen and no life in the human body. How much do we enjoy breathing? How much of it is an obligation?

Breathing could appear as something that we have/must do to live. Breathing can be shallow. It can cause a lot of discomfort and dis-balance. Breathing can be a struggle.

On another hand, breathing is one of the keys to relaxation. Breathing out is the part the relaxes the human body the most. If we take a deep breath into our stomach, into our chest and collar bones and then very slowly breath out; we relax and can achieve balance and harmony. Breathing can be effortless and joyful.

Things we do in life are like breathing. We can create joy, peace and harmony by going through the day and choosing how we think and feel about particular situations, people and ourselves. We can make a difference in our lives by being grateful and appreciative.

We can "breath" effortlessly with a lot of joy; letting ourselves free and creating harmony and balance in our lives.
